Our Building Control team has been has been carrying out inspection visits in the district continually throughout the current difficulties caused by the coronavirus whilst working from home.

Site Visits
For the foreseeable future, additional hygiene precautions will need to be taken by those requesting the visits and those attending. Rochford District Council staff will follow any current government and industry guidelines for your safety. Please contact us for more information and stay safe. An individual risk assessment will need to be made to make a visit in someone’s home.

Please note that the team prioritises its site visits and enquiries relating to them. Surveyors are carrying out site visits between 10.30am and 4.00pm. Therefore the following target times apply:-
Requests for Completion Certificates on current applications which have had inspections in the last 12 months– 7 working days if all inspection stages have been notified and passed.
Requests for Completion Certificates on non current applications – 14 working days subject to a search of records and all inspection stages have been notified and passed.
