Recycling Centres for Household Waste

The Saturday waste collections from the recreation ground in Great Wakering will now continue in 2024-2025.

The collections will continue the third Saturday of every month from 9am until 12pm as follows:

Please note that only non-recyclables will be collected (sacks only), we do not collect garden waste or hard core/building rubble/plasterboard items. The service is provided on a first come first served basis and once the vehicles are full they will leave the site.

Residents will need to book a slot to visit Castle Road Recycling Centre. You can book a slot on the Essex County Council website up to 2 weeks in advance. Please see Related Content to book your slot.

All day closing: Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
Half-day closing: If Christmas Eve and New Years Eve fall on a day the recycling centre is usually open, the centre will close at 1pm.

Proof of residency may be required when visiting Castle Road Recycling Centre

Stock Road Recycling Centre, Southend -On -Sea is not available to Rochford residents.
