Since the reopening of The Mill Arts & Events Centre, the Council has spent £267K maintaining the building. The work undertaken so far includes structural roof work, a new fire alarm system and the provision of two refurbished bars. A further £845K has been committed to the facility for 2024/25, aimed at providing the venue with all it needs to thrive, serve its community and attract new events and productions.
The Council are also considering options regarding a café facility. The Council will be conducting a public consultation to inform the long term operating model of the Mill, this will be concluded by September 2024.
