Do you know someone who goes above and beyond to make a real difference in our community? Now is your chance to celebrate them!
Nominations are now open for the Citizen of the Year Awards 2026, which celebrate individuals and groups who dedicate their time, energy and passion to improving the lives of others across the Rochford District.
These awards are a chance to recognise and thank those who make a real difference in the lives of others through acts of kindness, local initiatives and support for their communities. Whether it's helping vulnerable residents or bringing people together, they shine a light on the individuals who help make the district a welcoming and connected place to live.
Councillor Jo McPherson, Chairman of Rochford District Council, said: "The Citizen of the Year Awards are a wonderful way to celebrate the dedication, kindness, and achievements of people in our community. Every year we are inspired by the stories we hear, and I encourage residents to put forward nominations so we can recognise those who truly deserve it."
