VisitEngland Awards Rayleigh Windmill 'Hidden Gem' Accolade
VisitEngland has unveiled the winners of its prestigious Visitor Attraction Accolades for 2022-2023, celebrating exceptional visitor experiences across England. We are thrilled to announce that Rayleigh Windmill has been honoured with the esteemed 'Hidden Gem' award.
Rayleigh Windmill, a cherished 214 -year-old Grade II listed landmark, stands as one of Rochford's most beloved tourist destinations. This iconic structure serves as both a museum and an exhibition space, offering visitors a journey through history while also providing valuable insights into Rayleigh Mount.
VisitEngland, the national tourism agency presented the accolades to a select group of 91 attractions from around the country, acknowledge excellence across various aspects of the visitor experience. The accolades given are the result of rigorous evaluation conducted through the VisitEngland Visitor Attraction Quality Scheme. Rayleigh Windmill's outstanding performance in this assessment underlines its commitment to providing visitors with a top-tier experience.
