Residents and visitors can enjoy the Christmas festivities with free parking across all Rochford District Council owned car parks on every Saturday in December. Starting on 6 December, which also marks Small Business Saturday, giving everyone an extra reason to explore and support the independent shops, cafés and traders that make our District unique.
The free parking dates are:

- Saturday 13 December 2025
- Saturday 20 December 2025
- Saturday 27 December 2025
By making parking easier and more convenient, the scheme aims to draw more people into Rochford’s high streets and shopping areas throughout the festive season. It supports the council’s ongoing commitment to helping local businesses thrive at one of the busiest times of the year.
Small Business Saturday takes place on 6 December and highlights the vital role small businesses play in local communities. The national campaign encourages everyone to shop local and celebrate the businesses that bring character and energy to town centres across the country.
Councillor Daniel Efde, Chair of the Economic Development, Regeneration and Tourism Committee at Rochford District Council, said: “Free Saturday parking is a simple way to support our High Streets, ease the pressure of holiday shopping and encourage more people to enjoy what our local businesses have to offer.
