Rochford District Council launches two more schemes to support energy efficiency for vulnerable households

Rochford District Council is pleased to announce the launch of two more schemes aimed at improving the energy efficiency of eligible households in Rochford.

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and The Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) are government backed programs to help households across the country reduce their energy bills and carbon emissions at no cost to the residents.

The ECO4 scheme will focus on supporting low income and vulnerable households. The scheme will improve the least energy efficient homes, helping to meet the government's fuel poverty and net-zero commitments. While the GBIS scheme will focus solely on insulation measures, making households more energy efficient and helping save money on energy bills.

Both schemes will run until March 2026.
