New Business Forum series launches to support Rochford businesses

Date

Local businesses are invited to attend the launch of the Rochford District Business Forum, the first in a new series of free, in-person events designed to foster collaboration, share insights and provide direct access to business support services.

The first forum will take place on Thursday 26 June 2025, from 11:30am-1:30pm at Rochford Hundred Golf Club, Hall Road, Rochford, SS4 1NW.

This event offers a valuable opportunity for businesses of all sizes to connect with peers, hear from influential speakers, and learn about the latest support available to help them grow. Whether you're just starting out or looking to expand, the forum is tailored to meet the needs of the local business community.

Speakers include Jude Winstanley, CEO of London Southend Airport, who will discuss strategies for delivering regional growth. Ambitious Essex Growth Hub will outline Essex County Council’s refreshed business support offer. Attendees will also hear from the new Rochford District Council leadership, including Cllr Danielle Belton, Leader of the Council, and Cllr Daniel Efde, Chairman of the Economic Development, Regeneration and Tourism Committee. They will present the Council’s Economic Growth Strategy 2025–2028, which sets out a bold vision for the district’s future.

In addition to the speaker programme, attendees will have the opportunity to meet representatives from a wide range of business support organisations, including the 3 Chambers, Ambitious Essex Growth Hub, Backing Essex Business, the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), Greater Essex Careers Hub, and SEATS.

Cllr Daniel Efde, Chairman of the Economic Development, Regeneration and Tourism Committee at Rochford District Council, said: “I encourage businesses within the Rochford District to come along to this Business Forum to engage with us and explore the exciting opportunities and support available from our partners. I look forward to working with and learning from our local business community to make Rochford District a better place to work and live.”
