Lease available at Hullbridge Pavilion - Expressions of Interest open for applications

Date

Rochford District Council is inviting local organisations, charities, community and voluntary groups to express their interest in taking on the lease of the Pavilion at Hullbridge Recreation Ground.

Located off Pooles Lane, the Pavilion sits within the heart of Hullbridge's much-loved recreation ground, which also features a children’s play area, a skate park, large open green space, and beautiful views of the River Crouch.

We’re seeking organisations that will use the Pavilion to benefit the wider community, foster local engagement through events and programmes, and respect the natural surroundings of the recreation ground.

Successful applicants will be responsible for the Pavilion’s daily operations, maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The Council will ensure the building meets all statutory compliance for mechanical and electrical services certified for safe occupation.

We welcome expressions of interest from:

  • Local service providers
  • Community and voluntary groups
  • Charities
  • Other organisations working to benefit the public

Councillor Daniel Efde, Chair of Economic Development, Regeneration and Tourism Committee at Rochford District Council said: “Hullbridge Pavilion is a fantastic community asset with potential. This is a great opportunity for a local group or organisation with vision to help shape a space that truly serves the people of Hullbridge. We’re excited to see creative and community-focused ideas come forward.”

The deadline for submissions is Friday 13 June 2025.
