If you're an Essex homeowner with a household income below £30,000, you may be eligible for up to £10,000 of work to make energy efficient improvements to your home through the Sustainable Warmth Scheme. Previously called the Green Homes Grant Local Authority Delivery Scheme.
Improvements covered by the scheme include:
- insulation
- heating, excluding gas and oil boilers
- heating controls
- ventiliation
- hot water systems
- solar thermal
- lighting
The funding covers the entire cost of the improvements, up to £10,000. For homes that are off the grid this increases to £25,000.
