Hockley Woods

The arrival of the Railway in the 1890s led to the rise of a modern and thriving community in Hockley. Hockley is set amongst some of the most attractive countryside in the Rochford District, with a good network of well-maintained footpaths and bridleways. Hockley Woods is an ancient woodland which is owned and maintained by Rochford District Council, and Plumberow Mount boasts views across the Crouch River Valley.
