The Council’s Environmental Health Team is part of the national test and trace response, working in partnership with Essex County Council and Public Health England (PHE) which goes live on Monday 29 June 2020.
From that date, if there is a single confirmed case of COVID-19 (i.e. a positive test result) associated with a workplace, employers should contact their local Health Protection Team (HPT).

However, if you cannot contact the HPT please contact the Council’s Environmental Health Team. Their telephone number is 01702 318059. This contact number is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Please note that although all our staff are still working, the Council offices are currently closed to the public, so please do not attempt to travel to the offices.
