Explore Rayleigh Windmill on its special half-term open day

Rayleigh Windmill will be opening its doors especially for half-term explorers on Wednesday 21 February 2024 between 10am–1pm.

Bring along your young family members to introduce them to the Windmill’s rich history and its important role in Rayleigh over the last 215 years.

A team of enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers work hard to ensure the Grade II listed landmark is an interesting and quirky place to visit. Across each of its four floors there will be fun activities for children, fascinating artefacts and stunning views across the town and beyond.

Entry to the Windmill is free, although any small donations are welcomed.

The windmill is also a popular venue for weddings, to find out more go to www.rochford.gov.uk/windmillweddings
