Painting of the Dutch Cottage in Rayleigh by Kathryn Cooper

Sunday 11 August - Wednesday 11 September

Kathryn Cooper

My name is Kathryn Cooper and I am a British artist living in Rayleigh, Essex. I create original hand drawn ink and watercolour art.

In 2022 I set up a small art business called KC Sketches, specialising in house and building portraiture. I have enjoyed sketching my own interpretations of many of Rayleigh's charming and historic buildings. I also create bespoke, commissioned pieces for customers of their homes, wedding venues, the place they first met, business/commercial buildings and a variety of other places with sentimental meaning.

Besides buildings, I also enjoy making all kinds of watercolour art including abstract art, surface pattern design, landscapes and urban sketches.

Street photography by David Swainsbury - a man walking in front of a shop

Wednesday 9 October – Sunday 27 October

David Swainsbury - Something on the Horizon

I'm a street photographer from London, my work is characterised by its candidness and its ability to capture the essence of everyday life. I have been taking photographs for more than 10 years and one day after printing a photograph and getting it framed decided to leave the comfort and security of my career and start exhibiting and selling my own art.

I'm a passionate advocate for street photography and believe that it is a powerful tool for documenting the human condition and for understanding the world around us.
