Windmill leads districts National Mills Weekend celebrations!

Rochford District Council is celebrating National Mills Weekend by inviting visitors to celebrate the UK's milling heritage and visiting the Rayleigh Windmill. There will be free guided tours available and guests will get to discover the iconic buildings long history as well as the milling process.

Whether you’ve visited before or it’s on your list of places to visit National Mills Weekend on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 May 2019 is the perfect excuse to explore the Rayleigh Windmill.

Come and join the fun as Rayleigh Windmill volunteers dress up in traditional period costume and run guided tours for this very special weekend.

The Windmill will be extending it’s opening hours from 12 noon to 4pm on the Saturday and Sunday. Entry is free of charge and a £1 donation is suggested.
