Rochford District Council the Castle Point and Rochford Community Safety Partnership are inviting older residents in the district to a special free event aimed at giving advice on staying safe and healthy.
If you or you have relatives who are 55+ and live in the Rochford District area and want to find out more from experts in community safety and wellbeing then this is an event that can’t be missed.
The event opens at 10 am and runs through to 1 pm on Monday 2nd September 2019.
A range of organisations will be on hand to give out information from Active Life (including a chair taster session), NELFT, Samaritans, Essex Fire and Rescue Service, Victim Support, Essex Libraries and Concept Care Solutions.
The event has both a range of stands to be able to meet and chat with representatives, informative presentations and a chair fit demonstration.
Rochford District Council’s Portfolio Holder for the Community, Cllr Mike Webb says: “These events have been a great success in the past and are a great way for our more senior residents and carers to get information on the topics that may worry and cause concern for them in their day to day lives.
“We always have great attendance and the organisers of the event have yet again worked hard to bring together representatives from a range of organisations to offer expert advice and help.”
For those residents who need assistance with transport, through Wyvern Community Transport, we can offer free collection and drop off to this event. We simply need to know whether you have any particular mobility issues including whether you utilise a wheel chair or use a walker.
