Your Council Tax explained

After careful consideration, Rochford District Council has agreed to increase its element of Council Tax by 2.97% in 2023/24. The amount relating to the District Council will increase from £245.16 to £252.45 for an average band D property.

A breakdown of the other preceptor’s elements of the Council Tax bill for 2023/24 is shown below; this includes Essex County Council, the Fire and Rescue Authority, the Police and the Town/Parish Councils.

Taking these other elements into account, the overall Council Tax bill for an average Band D property will be £2,076.12 in 2023/24, an increase of £82.15.
