Queen’s Green Canopy
Elected Members and council staff joined forces to plant 70 trees, to mark the monarch’s 70th year as head of state. The trees will form part of the Queen’s Green Canopy, a project which invites people from across the UK to ‘Plant a Tree for the Jubilee’
If you would like to do your own tree planting event for the Queens Jubilee, please see the link in the Related Content section where you can now add your Jubilee tree to The Queen's Green Canopy map.
Her Majesty and The Prince of Wales planted the first Jubilee tree in the grounds of Windsor Castle in March, to mark the launch of the QGC.
