Rochford District Council recognises its responsibilities and obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act and strives to provide the best possible service to all in the community. The site's layout takes into account users who are blind or visually impaired and we are continuously working to maximise compatiblity with popular screen reading software.
We have enabled our website to be used with Browsealoud software. Speech enabling our website provides an additional way of accessing content for people who find it hard to read. This includes those with dyslexia or learning difficulties, those for whom English is not their first language, or anyone with a mild visual impairment. The Browsealoud software can be launched by clicking the 'headphones' icon at the top of each page.
