The 3030 Essex campaign aims to get everyone in the county physically active for 30 minutes a day for the 30 days of June and we hope you will join Active Essex to inspire your local community and put your club/organisation on the map! Check out how this works using the link in Related Content section.
It may be that you want to do a 3030 Takeover whereby you give your normal weekly activity a 3030 flavour. A change is as good as a rest and may just be what members need for a mid-year pep up. It would be great if you could encourage your members and participants to become part of the campaign by signing up using the link in the Related Content section.
Or why not run an Open Event during June to attract new members or volunteers? The campaign will certainly get the oxygen of publicity with a run on Heart Essex FM, a digital campaign with a specially created film and a county wide advertising campaign at bus shelters. Active Essex also have Daily Guest Editors drawn from our community who will inspire the public to try new activities and sports on the 3030 Essex website and on the Active Essex social media channels.
A social media friendly idea is download the ‘1 second everyday’ app that allows you to capture one second a day in the life of your club to create your own film!
If you decide to do an Open Event – the place and time will be on a special Open Event Map that will be promoted daily through social media. Plus if you sign up you’ll have the chance to win one of 3 prizes:
This can be spent on anything that will help promote physical activity – so perhaps new equipment or upskilling members… Simply log onto the 3030 Essex campaign website link in Related Content section.
All participating clubs will get a free ticket to our 3030Essex Obstacle Course – a family day out on Saturday June 29th at Thorndon Park in Brentwood.
