Last chance to have your say on Essex Climate Action Commission recommendations

Date:
Tuesday, April 27, 2021

The Essex Climate Action Commission’s public consultation is ending on Tuesday 4 May and residents are urged to provide their views before it closes.

The consultation was launched so that Essex residents can give their views regarding a selection of the recommendations it has developed.

Since its inception in May 2020, the Commission has been developing its recommendations for ways in which the county can fight climate change and become net-zero by 2050.

Through the consultation, the Commission wants to find out how much public support its recommendations have, whether residents believe the Commission has focused on the right areas, and if its recommendations have the right level of ambition.

Residents can access the consultation here – https://consultations.essex.gov.uk/rci/essex-climate-action-commission/

The consultation report will be made available on ECC’s consultation portal at consultations.essex.gov.uk and in accessible formats on request.

The Essex Climate Action Commission was set up to advise on how best to tackle the climate crisis in Essex and become a net zero county.

The final report, which will contain all of the Commission’s recommendations, is due to be published in summer 2021.
