Landlords Forum benefits from professional expertise

Monday, March 25, 2019

More than 40 people attended a Landlords Forum to learn about the latest developments in their field.

This was the third event of its kind to be held by Rochford District Council, in partnership with the National Landlords Association (NLA) and Castle Point Borough Council, and covered a range of topics designed to give practical advice and support.

These included presentations from the NLA, Paul Robinson Solicitors, Home of Mortgages, the Department of Work & Pensions and Rochford District Council’s Housing Options Team.

Topics covered Universal Credit, how to ensure you follow the letter of the law to get your property back in the quickest time possible, and private ownership versus limited company ownership. Other items included legislation updates by the NLA and what offers are available to landlords who work with the Rochford District Council Housing Options team.

Rochford District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Community, Cllr Mike Webb, said: “The Landlords Forum offers a unique opportunity to share professional expertise and advice, while also networking with those in related fields.
“If you are a local landlord or agent I would urge you to register your interest for future events, to ensure you keep up to date with the latest information available.”
