Southend is celebrating International Women’s Day in style, with an array of events over the month of March.
When: Sunday 8th March from 2pm to 6pm

Who: Eye 2 Eye Promotions for SEACA (South Essex African Caribbean Association)
What: A day of empowerment with local businesses’, unique stalls to inspire and aspire. Making sure we pull out all the stops, there will be raffles, performances, networking and our Guest speaker, Professor Dame Elizabeth Anionwu.
Lauded as one of the most respected nurses in the country, her successful career was forged after a tough upbringing. There will be a book signing of her autobiography, self-published memoirs, Mixed Blessings from a Cambridge Union, which will be on sale on the day.

The admission charge is to cover costs and monies raised will go to the charity ‘Sickle Cell Society’. Any money raised at the event will also be donated to the ‘Sickle Cell Society’.
Working in collaboration with, Adjuah Ebo and Dr Winifred O Eboh PhD SFHEA BSc Nursing RM from Essex University and volunteers from Essex University and SEACA.
