Health & Wellbeing e-bulletin launched
A new ‘Health & Wellbeing’ e-bulletin has been launched by Rochford District Council, as part of an ongoing effort to help residents take control of their health and make positive changes.
Just sign up at www.rochford.gov.uk/tellmemore for regular updates about local initiatives and events which aid healthy lifestyles.
This is connected to the ‘Health & Wellbeing Strategy 2019-2021’ adopted by Rochford District Council and Castle Point Council, which presents how we will work together with partners to improve the health and wellbeing of our residents. This involves providing services, skills and support to help make important lifestyle changes.
This is accompanied by an action plan, which covers three priorities which have been identified:
- Reducing levels of overweight and obesity
- Improving mental health and wellbeing
- Supporting people to lead independent lives, to stay in their own homes for as long as possible.
Rochford District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Community, Cllr Mike Webb, said: “We all have changes that we can make to support our physical and mental wellbeing, but sometimes it is hard to know where to turn for support and advice.
“I hope residents will sign up to the new ‘Health & Wellbeing’ news e-bulletin from Rochford District Council, so they can keep up to date with the latest events and initiatives which can support us all to make positive changes to our lifestyles.”
