Rochford District Council will be hosting FREE event management training for local organisations and volunteers.

The sessions, run by Eric Stuart from Gentian Events Ltd, are aimed at anyone who would like to get involved in running events – including schools, parish councils and local community organisations.

These will be held in the run up to next year’s Discover 2020 Festival, providing the key skills to those who may wish to hold events as part of the exciting celebrations to be held cross the Rochford District.

The training will take place at The Civic Suite, 2 Hockley Road, Rayleigh, on Saturday 22nd February 2020, with three time slots available. To book go to: www.rochford.gov.uk/eventmanagement

Rochford District Council’s Deputy Leader, Cllr Cheryl Roe, said: “Rochford District Council is pleased to offer this FREE training, which is critical for anyone involved in the planning or running of events.

“The sessions will include advice on Event Management Plans, risk assessments, provision of welfare, crowd control and much more. The Council fully supports the delivery of this essential training and strongly encourage attendance at one of these important sessions
