Rochford District Council has launched a public consultation and engagement to seek residents’ views on how carbon emissions in the district can be reduced by using our existing parks and open spaces.

Residents and businesses can contribute their views by responding to the consultation survey available here

Rochford District Council’s Portfolio Holder for the Environment, Cllr Dave Sperring said: “I really encourage residents and businesses in the district to take part in the consultation. We really want to hear your views on the changes needed for the Rochford District to become a net zero carbon area.”

“The council has already taken significant steps to reduce carbon emissions in the District through the introduction of electric vehicle charging points and greener building projects. On top of this we will need a real collective effort by everyone in the district to save energy, reduce emissions, and fight climate change.”
