The Coronation ceremony for His Majesty King Charles III takes place in May, and Rochford District Council Is supporting local partners with funding to make the Coronation weekend one to remember.
The Council is offering Parish and Town councils the chance to apply for grants up to £1000 to help with local celebrations for their communities.
The grants are to be used for celebrations such as 'The Coronation Big Lunch', 'The Big Help Out' and street parties held by residents in their ward.
Portfolio holder for Communities & Health, Cllr Arthur Williams, said:
"I hope that all Parish and Town Councils will make use of this fund to help enable local communities to come together to celebrate this important moment in our nation's history."
