Voting by Post

Voting by post is an easy and convenient way of voting if you are unable to get to the polling station. Anyone who is registered can apply for a postal vote. You do not need a reason to vote by post. You can apply for a postal vote at any time but your completed application form must be received at the latest by 5pm, 11 working days before an election for it to be valid at that election. Please see the Upcoming Elections page for details of postal vote deadlines for each election and delivery dates.

Download the form in the Related Content section. You’ll need to print it, sign it, and send or email it back to us using the details on the form. If you have trouble providing a consistent signature or would like us to send you a form, please contact the helpline.
