South East Business Boost are offering 12 Hours of FREE Business Support consisting of workshops and 1-2-1 mentoring. The South East Business Boost 12 hour courses are open to new and established businesses in Essex. Latest courses include:-

Essex Police: Essex Business Fraud Clinic

Join this online clinic where Glen Foote of the Essex Police Business Crime Team and Gavin Saunders, Cyber Prevent and Protect officer, will be on hand to discuss your Fraud and Cyber security concerns or questions. They can offer the latest cyber-crime prevention advice and direct you to partners and products which may suit your needs.

The open clinics have a 2-hour duration: Friday 10th June 2022 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Followed by 14:00 – 16:00 PM on the same day.

Simply register your attendance by emailing. Advance queries will have a 10-minute slot allocated and a Microsoft TEAMS link to the meeting will be provided. Consultations will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Alternatively, questions can be raised during the session. Your organisation will remain anonymous to other participants.

Backing Essex Business - Group2Grow Peer Network Programme

The Group2Grow Peer Network Programme has successfully recruited 8 cohorts, and they are now recruiting for 2022 participants.  Feedback from the scheme has been extremely positive.

Group2Grow peer groups bring together cohorts of business professionals to learn, grow, and solve common problems using each other’s knowledge and experience, with the support, guidance, and mentoring of a Business Coach. 

The programme provides over 8 x 2 hr group sessions and 3 hours of individual 1-2-1 sessions with an expert mentor, Backing Essex Business will through discussion and discovery, uncover the challenges faced by your business and work together to find logical and practical solutions. Register your interest for Group2Grow here.

Rochford District Business News

Rochford District Council is committed to supporting local businesses. We have set up the Rochford Business Network to enable us, the Economic Development Team, to make contact with local businesses, to provide information, help and support and to deliver this to the local business community.

Since launching the network , now rebranded 'Tell Me More' in July 2009, over 2100 businesses have joined and are enjoying the benefits the network has to offer. The Tell Me More service is free to join, and as a member you will have access to:

  • E-bulletins detailing events and campaigns that assist local businesses
  • Regular emails that include local and national information (including opportunities for grants and funding)
  • Receive notification of business support services and initiatives that may help your business
  • A support structure for local businesses to connect with each other
  • Opportunities to engage with local businesses, business support agencies and Council Officers
  • Consultations taking place in the District
