On this page you will find links to guidance notes, and planning application requirements (PAR) by application type. Applications forms are on The Planning Portal website - there is link in the Related Content section. The PAR is a checklist of nationally specified documents that must accompany your application, and a local list of documents that may be required; the requirement to provide documents from the local section of the list will depend on the type of application you are preparing.
If you intend to submit your application electronically through the Planning Portal, you can check the PAR checklists for the type of application you intend to submit. If you are not able to submit your planning application electronically then please download the appropriate form from the list below.
If you are not sure about the documents to enclose with your application please email or call the planning office for advice - the contact details are shown at the bottom of this page. An application which does not include the necessary documents will not be validated.
You will also find a link in the table below that contains detailed notes to explain the information that should be included in the various documents listed in the PAR checklist. Please note on the 17th December 2010 Rochford District Council adopted the Essex County Council document 'Parking Standards: Design and Good Practice (September 2009)' as a Supplementary Planning Document within the Rochford District Council Local Development Framework. This supersedes the guidance regarding parking detailed in the national guidance available below and should be applied to applications for planning permission where details of the parking provision are required. 'Parking Standards: Design and Good Practice (September 2009)' is available from the Related Content on this page.
To make a planning application you can do so via The Planning Portal website or to obtain hard copies of the application forms - you can find links to these in the Related Content section.

Damage to or destruction of breeding sites and resting places is an absolute offence and so there is no defence available within the law, even if the persons involved such as the applicant applying for permission or the council in determining an application were not aware of a habitat's use by these animals. Courts will have regard as to whether or not the impact could have been reasonably avoided in deciding upon a sentence. In all cases the risk of an offence occurring can be minimised by taking all reasonable precautions. It is therefore necessary for applicants seeking planning permission for works involving roofing and attaching to walling to fill out the Bat Declaration form to accompany their applications. The form can be found under ‘Related Content’ section.
Please note that only 1 copy of forms and plans etc are required to be submitted with a planning application.
