Thursday, February 21, 2019

Rochford District Council will be offering £10,000 of funding to local voluntary sector groups which benefit our community.

The Council operates a Voluntary Sector Grant scheme which aims to support local voluntary and community organisations that deliver services and/or projects in the Rochford District. We are now inviting applications for revenue funding for the 2019/20 financial year.

To apply please go to https://www.rochford.gov.uk/vog and read the related guidance. Please note that the process by which grant funding will be considered has changed this year.

Portfolio holder for Community, Cllr Mike Webb, said: “The Council recognises the contribution made by community and voluntary sector groups in the Rochford District, and we are pleased to be able to offer this funding to the various organisations who support our local residents and enable communities to thrive.

“This year we are asking that funding applications relate to our key priorities for Health and Well Being in the local community. This includes reducing levels of obesity; improving mental health and wellbeing, and supporting people to lead independent lives, as we all recognise the importance of living healthier lives long into old age.”

All applicants must complete the application form (available online) and return it with the required financial information by email or post by Friday 15th March 2019.
