With Christmas approaching, there are a number of “one-off” roles which you may want to become involved in as well as those needing more regular commitment.

RRAVS Funding Officer

RRAVS is looking to hear from community groups trying to find funding.

The organisation has a Funding Officer, Shelley Hall, who has access to information on a wide range of grants, and can tell you what is available and whether your group are eligible to apply.

Grants can be as small as £100 or as much as £500,000. Contact Shelley today – you may be missing out on funding that your group desperately needs in order to continue providing its services!

Volunteer Centre News in Brief

Over the past year RRAVS Volunteer Centre has:

– processed volunteering applications for over 600 people.

– placed 160 volunteers in the Rochford District.

– helped over 60 organisations secure volunteers.

– continued to work with other Volunteer Centres across Essex in order to gain accreditation to the national governing body for volunteering, Volunteering England.

– Celebrated the contribution by volunteers to our local community by holding an annual Volunteer Awards Ceremony during Volunteers Week (1-7 June).
