If you are a professional or voluntary artist or a creative organisation looking to develop business skills in tougher economic times, then Rochford District Council may be able to help.

The Council has arranged a series of short training courses which will be run in Rochford and Rayleigh in March. They are called ‘An Introduction to Social Enterprise’, ‘Affordable Marketing’ and ‘Business Development Skills’.

Each course costs £10 for individuals and groups based in Rochford or Castle Point and £35 for others.

Are you looking for work? Do you want to know how to use a computer to aid your job search? Build your CV skills and interview technique?
The Starr Partnership and Rochford and Rayleigh Association of Voluntary Services will be on hand to offer useful help and advice on searching for a job on line, updating and creating CVs, building confidence and interview techniques.

The training sessions will be held at Hockley Library from 10am – 12 noon on Saturday mornings for anyone in the local area that is looking to get into work.

County Councillor Jeremy Lucas, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Libraries says “Essex County Council’s Library Service is delighted to host these training sessions and are fully supportive of the aims of the training which will benefit the local community”.
