Race walking may be an event at the London 2012 Olympic Games, but you don’t need to be an athlete to walk your way to a more active life.
Rochford District Council can help you get started. The Council is taking part in a special project organising a series of walks to help you get healthy in the run-up to the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Once again Rochford has teamed up with the Essex Legacy Team at Essex County Council, along with Castle Point Borough Council and Southend-on-Sea Borough Council to bring you “Walking Your Way to the Games”.
The challenge is simple, there are five walks to complete around South Essex, each is divided into five colours and you’ll receive a free gift for any walk that you complete.
