Hockley woods
A free activity for the whole family.
This year’s Wild Woods Day will have a great mixture of events you have requested from the past and new activities for you to take part in.
This year participants will be able to take part in rush weaving, climbing, archery and falconry. We will also see the return of Weapons of Sound and a visit from the magic woodland elf.
Rochford District Council’s Senior Environmental Assistant will be in attendance with the Council’s Dog Warden and they will be able to Micro Chip dogs for the price of £15.
As always our Wild Woods Day is themed around recycling, the environment and healthy lifestyles!
There is no need to book anything, just turn up and enjoy the fun.
We have limited parking available so why not take the bus (no 7) or train (Southend Victoria Line). For more information about bus times call 0871 200 22 33 and for information about train times call 0871 200 49 50.
We will keep this webpage updated with information about the day but if you would like to find out more or would like to get involved then please contact the Leisure Team on 01702 546366 or Leisure@rochford.gov.uk |
We would like to thank National Grid for their kind sponsorship of £250 towards this year’s event.
This is a family activity so children remain the responsibility of parents/guardians through out the day.
All activities are subject to change.
