Local Development Framework
On this page you will find links to the documents that we are
preparing as part of the Rochford Local Development Framework
(LDF).
Under the provisions of the Planning and Compulsory Act 2004,
the Rochford District Local plan will gradually be replaced by a
folder of policy documents loosely called the Local development
Framework. The LDF will comprise a Local Development Scheme (the
LDS is a project plan for the preparation of LDF documents), a
Statement of Community Involvement (SCI), various Development Plan
Documents (DPDs) including the Rochford Core Strategy DPD and the
Site Allocation DPD, and Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs
provide useful additional planning advice and guidance).
We are also required to prepare an extensive evidence base to
underpin the policies and proposals in the LDF and you will find a
link to this background information on the left hand side of the
page.
