Planning for the Historic Environment

Rochford district has a wealth of listed buildings and historic features. The Council is charged with the protection of listed buildings and conservation areas. There also are a number of Scheduled Ancient Monuments in the district with dates ranging from the prehistoric through to the Second World War.
