Statement of Community Involvement
The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) is one of a number
of documents that Rochford District Council is required to prepare
as part of the new planning framework for the district.
Major changes to the planning system have recently been
undertaken, driven by the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act
(2004).
At the heart of the changes is the desire for greater community
involvement and giving people the chance to have a say in how their
district is planned.
