Hockley Area Action Plan

The Hockley Area Action Plan or HAAP will create the framework for development sites and planning policies for the centre of Hockley. The HAAP will help to guide public and private investment in the area.

Three versions of the Hockley Area Action Plan have been prepared taking into account community involvement. These are as follows:

• Hockley Are Action Plan Options Report 2010
• Hockley Area Action Plan Submission Document 2012

The Hockley Area Action Plan Submission Document was submitted to the government for independent examination on 18 April 2013

In addition to the Hockley Area Action Plan Submission Document, the Council also submitted a number of supporting documents to the Secretary of State. These included the representations submitted during pre-submission consultation, as well as the results of previous community involvement and other evidence.

An Inspector will be appointed to conduct the examination.
