Core Strategy Preferred Options 2007 (Regulation 26 Draft)

A new national planning system has recently been put in place and the Council is preparing the documents needed to ensure that this system works. The first requirement is to prepare a document that sets out the overarching policies that will guide and control the development of the district between now and 2021. This document is called the Core Strategy.

A Preferred Options (Regulation 26) draft Core Strategy has now been produced. This document sets out the Council's preferred options for the issues affecting the future development of the district. The Council invited comments and representations on the document for a six-week period which ran from Monday 21st May 2007 to Monday 2nd July 2007. The Council will now consider all the comments it has received before preparing the next draft of the Core Strategy for submission to the Secretary of State.

If you have any questions regarding the Core Strategy please do not hesitate to contact the planning policy team on 01702 318191 or planning.policy@rochford.gov.uk
