Allocations Development Plan Document: Discussion and Consultation Document

The Allocations DPD: Discussion and Consultation Document sets out potential options for the location of new residential development, employment locations, education facilities, community facilities, and wildlife sites among other uses. The purpose of this document was to provide people with the chance to consider and comment upon allocation options that have been put forward for development.

The Allocations DPD sits below the Core Strategy in the Local Development Framework (LDF) and so it must be consistent with its approach. This version of the document sets out site specific options for the general locations identified within the Rochford District Core Strategy.

This is the first stage in the preparation of the Allocations DPD. This document was subject to public consultation between 17 March 2010 and 30 April 2010. The comments received during this period can be found by selecting ‘View representations received on the Allocations DPD: Discussion and Consultation Document’ under Related Links. This links to our online consultation system. Full copies of the paper representations received may be viewed by selecting ‘Full Copies of Paper Representations Received’ under Related Links.

Other documents of particular relevance to the development of the Allocations DPD are the Core Strategy, the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) and the ‘Call for Sites’. More information on these documents can be found under Related Links.

The Discussion and Consultation Document and Appendix 1 (which assesses each of the sites submitted through the ‘Call for Sites’ process) can be downloaded under Related Documents.

The Allocations DPD: Discussion and Consultation Document Updated Sustainability Appraisal, which assesses the potential environmental, economic and social impacts of the options set out in the plan, can also be downloaded under Related Documents.
