Allocations Development Plan Document
The Allocations Development Plan Document (DPD) will show on
maps and diagrams how land in the District will be used – whether
that is for residential use, employment use or education use, open
spaces, or environmentally protected areas for example.
The Allocations DPD will sit below the Core Strategy in the
Local Development Framework (LDF) and so it must be consistent with
its approach. A diagram showing how all the LDF documents link
together can be found under Related Documents.
We have produced the first version of the Allocations DPD to
encourage discussion on the range of issues it addresses – more
information on this document can be found under Related Links. The
next stage of the Allocations DPD will be the Pre-Submission
version.
A draft Sustainability Appraisal has been produced on the
Allocations DPD Discussion and Consultation Document. The
Sustainability Appraisal assesses the potential environmental,
economic and social impacts of the options set out in this version
of the document and recommendations / key observations for the next
version. Comments may be submitted on the Sustainability Appraisal
to planning.policy@rochford.gov.uk
or Planning Policy, Rochford District Council Offices, South
Street, Rochford, Essex. SS4 1BW between 16
January and 5pm on 27 February
2012. Please see Allocations DPD: Discussion and
Consultation Document under Related Links for further
information.
