Advice
The planning section provides free advice on the various
processes that it operates. Most queries can be answered by a duty
planning officer. There is a planning officer on duty between
0830hrs and 1730hrs (Monday to Thursday) and 0830hrs and 1700hrs
(Friday).
(Please note that from 10 March 2010 until the
end of April 2010, Planning Duty Officers will not be available
after 1pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays. Mondays and Tuesdays
officers will be available to provide advice, in the normal way
during office hours. We apologise for any inconvenience
caused.)
If you have any queries these can be
made via the Council's website, by telephone (01702 318191) or in
person.
If the advice you require is quite specialised or relates to a
case on hand, then you may need to make an appointment to speak
with the case officer.
The planning section tries to ensure that advice is available
for all areas of work, and if the duty officer cannot help you a
another member of the team may may be able to. If we cannot provide
the advice you require during your visit, you may need to make an
appointment or we will refer you to someone who may be able to
help.
