Sails In The Wind

In 2009 Rayleigh's grade II listed windmill is 200 years old.
With funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Rochford District
Council and its partners are celebrating the occasion with a
year-long programme called Sails in the Wind featuring activities,
events and projects for local people to get involved in.
Official Celebrations Day

More than 500 people enjoyed an afternoon of free activities and
events to celebrate 200 years of the Rayleigh Windmill, which also
