Leisure Centres

Rayleigh Leisure Centre

Situated on the former Park School site on Rawreth Lane, Rayleigh Leisure Centre opened in May 2006 and the District can now boast leisure facilities to rival any region in the country.

Facilities

Rayleigh Leisure Centre has an extensive range of sporting facilities for all age groups:

  • Gym facility
  • Sports Hall four badminton court size
  • Outdoor Tennis/Netball/Football area
  • Indoor bowls hall with 4 full size competition rinks
  • Bar-Café overlooking the bowls hall
  • Two glass back squash courts
  • Crèche

In addition to the high standard of gym, studio classes and tuition Rayleigh Leisure Centre also includes an indoor bowls rink. The rink hosts an indoor bowls club but also allows a 'Pay&Play' option allowing casual users and first timers to enjoy the bowling facilities. The site also has a strong netball, badminton and five a side focus, as well as existing teams being invited to utilise the centre and potentially take up residence, the Centre also organises coaching lessons & 'Pay&Play' options for casual users.

As well as the Indoor Bowls the new site also has a strong Netball focus. Netball facilities have been in short supply in the local vicinity and the new management at Rayleigh are keen to rectify this. As well as existing Netball teams being invited to utilise the centre and potentially take up residence, the Centre also organises coaching lessons & 'Pay&Play' options for casual users.
