Housing Register

If you would like to apply for social housing in the District, you must first complete a Housing Register Application form and return it back to the Council (with all supporting documentation).

Once an application has been assessed, you will be placed on the register in one of five bands (A-E) depending on your level of need and connection with the District.

When a property becomes available, the highest placed applicants on the register will be contacted and asked to bid (express an interest) for it. The top four received bids will then be nominated to the Housing Association.

A full explanation of the banding and bidding process is available in the policy below (Housing Allocation Scheme H2).

If you would like a Housing Register Application form, please telephone 01702 318066 or 318027 and a copy will be posted to you. Alternatively, please click on the links below.
