Cold Calling Security Firms Warning
It has come to our attention that householders and people in
sheltered accomodation may be receiving telephone calls
from companies claiming to be working with Rochford
District Council, offering camera systems, alarm systems etc
at greatly reduced costs. Some may also claim to be
doing research or surveys on crime and disorder or anti-social
behaviour.
Rochford Community Safety Team would like to make it clear that
they have not instructed any companies to undertake this work. If
anyone receives a telephone call of this nature they
should not provide any personal details and information and should
terminate the call. Please then report this to Consumer Direct.
