Planning Appeal Coombes Farm

Planning permission was recently refused by the Council for an outline planning application for up to 326 residential dwellings.

The applicant has lodged an appeal against this decision to the independent Planning Inspectorate (PINS). The appeal form and grounds for appeal can be found in Related Documents below. You can also find a link to our electronic PublicAccess file which may assist should you wish to view background information. Although it should be noted, that this does not hold a full record of all responses to the application, notably residents letters can not be viewed here.

The Council has forwarded all comments that were submitted on the original application for planning permission, to the Planning Inspectorate and these will be taken into account by the Inspector in considering the appeal.

The Planning Inspectorate allowed a further period of time, up until the 27th January 2010 for the submission of further representation, withdrawal or changes to any earlier comments which had been made and these will also be taken into account by the Inspector in the consideration of the appeal. Whilst the time allowed for the submission of any further comments has passed, should you wish to ask that further comments be taken into consideration these requests should be sent directly to the Planning Inspectorate.

The Planning Inspectorate can be contacted at Room 4/04, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6PN and the appeal reference number for this appeal is APP/B1550/A/09/2118433/NWF.

The appeal will take the form of an Inquiry which will be heard by an Inspector. This appeal is scheduled for 4 days starting on the 13 April at the Civic Offices, Hockley Road, Rayleigh . Local residents and others are welcome to attend and can ask to address the Inquiry.
