Recycling Competitions

Throughout the year, the Recycling Team run different types of competitions for children, adults and groups with the chance to win a variety of prizes. Check this page regularly for competition updates!

Car sticker competition

Hundreds of car stickers were given out all over the District, and those residents that displayed them in their vehicles and were spotted by Council staff were put into a prize draw.

Congratulations to the lucky winner Susan Hills, who wins a £10 voucher for Riverside Nurseries in Hockley and £30 worth of vouchers for Alan’s Dry Cleaners in Rochford.

 

Wheres Max? competition

Well done to Byron Irwin from Great Wakering, who managed to collect all the correct answers for the Where’s Max? competition and bag himself a prize!

The competition involved visiting a number of sites of interest around the District, to see where Max the Recycling Dragon had been, and answering questions about the history of the sites and what they are used for. The special letters at each site spelt the magic winning word to answer a question.

Well done to everyone that entered and correctly guessed that the word was: FLOWER

Byron has won a Family Day pass to a local leisure centre for himself and his family, courtesy of Virgin Active and also some other goodies including a Recycling Rubiks Cube and a £20 Amazon Voucher!
