Recycling for Caravans Frequently Asked Questions

What facilities are available for the collection of recyclables from caravan parks at the moment?

Currently most caravan sites have been provided with communal recycling collections for glass, food and drink cans and paper.

How often are the recyclables bins emptied?

Collections take place on a weekly basis.

The recyclables bins are full. What should I do?

Please do not leave any recyclables next to the bins as these will have to be cleared separately and will make the area look untidy. Please contact Recycling on 01702 318111 or via email recycle@rochford.gov.uk

I have a bulky item which needs to be disposed of. What should I do?

Please do not simply leave the item in the bin area. This constitutes fly-tipping, which is a criminal offence. Instead, call the Bulky Waste hotline on 01702 318 079 during the hours of 8.30am and 5pm (4.30pm on Fridays) and collection of the item/s can be arranged.  There is now a charge for this service, please see the link below for more information.
